PHOTOGRAPHS
Your pet's portrait can only be as good as
the photos you provide. I can use either digital or film photos
to paint your portrait from.
I need at least one clear photo showing the animals eyes. Very important!
Get close! The sharper the details of the face and eyes the better.
Try to take the photographs at the same level as the animal's eyes.
This position creates the best portraits.
Photographing your pet outdoors on a cloudy day provides the best
lighting.
If you are photographing indoors, make sure there is plenty of bright
natural light and have the animal face the light source. Try to avoid
flash and red-eyes.
All photographs will be returned so please send as many as you like!
All digital photos can be emailed to me at alex@mypetstudio.com
COMPLETION
Waiting
times vary depending on the work load. Please allow a minimum of
2 weeks from the time I receive the photos to the completion of
your graphite drawing or watercolor painting. Acrylic paintings
on canvas may take longer.
VERIFICATION
A $40 deposit before I start is required.
When your portrait is complete I will send you a digital photo via
e-mail. Only if you are completely satisfied do I ask for payment
prior to postage of the original to you. Finished pet portraits
will also be added to my web page.
